the mat and ruler rock... I think it is an awesome idea to make them magnetic, the cutting knife is cool too, but the rotery cutter and paper cutter arent worth it... im just glad i got it on sale cause the mat ruler and knife are almost worth it... the cutter isnt easy to use and the mamper moves even with the magnet things provided.... and the rotery cutter only works sometimes.... hopefully enough to make some cool circles for my cards :)

This kit is well worth the price! And the circle cutter is great! Just have to practice and get a feel for it ... Take your time cutting out the circle and adjusting the blade helped too. I love the magnetic self healing mat, The magnetic ruler is wonderful and the little magnets. Haven't used the ruler cutting blade yet much. but I'm sure I will. I let my mat air out ...outside for a couple of days and there is not odder to it now. THIS KIT MAKE SCRAPBOOKING EASIER, FASTER AND MUCH MORE FUN! LOVE THIS KIT!

I almost did not buy this because of some of the negative reviews. I am sure glad I did not listen to them! This kit has saved me so much time and effort! The mat and trimmer are great! You can measure across the full mat to make sure you have cuts straight. You can cut straight or wavy with the additional cutter. You just twist the blade out and cut (which is a very nice safety feature).

The circle cutter works perfectly. The other tools are great too. My suggestion to those who can't seem to get the cuts right is that you still need to hold your paper and use gentle pressure. Do not expect the four little magnets to hold everything in place. They are a helper, not the end all be all to keeping your paper in place.

I will say the magnets on the trimmer are not as strong as the other magnets, but they still help prevent slippage. Overall this is well worth the price.

I really like this because of the fact that its magnetic. I find that using the magnets does help. The little magnets are really strong and the magnet on the ruler is strong too so I like to use it with the knif but the trimmer, well its magnet is not as strong and its even coming off already and another issue is that its kind of hard to set it straight to cut. Maybe I just need more practice. For the price, got it on clearance, and for everything that came in it, it is well worth it I think.
